March 11th Men's NCAA + NIT Seed List
A big day at conference tournaments saw shakeups from top to bottom in my seed list, so let’s get right into it:
Baylor’s early exit in the Big 12 leaves them vulnerable to being passed by Auburn or Kentucky for the final 1 seed
Texas Tech’s emphatic victory over Iowa State moves them to the 3 line, displacing Houston
Connecticut is able to climb to a 5 seed thanks to their win over Seton Hall and a loss by Texas
Colorado State’s victory over Utah State continues its upward mobility, passing idle Murray State for a 5 seed
Another loss to a lesser opponent for Alabama drops them to an 8 seed. They are good enough to beat anybody and bad enough to lose to anybody
Thanks to losses from Alabama and Ohio State, San Diego State climbs to a 7 seed, a far cry from a spot outside the field where they were a month ago
TCU’s amazing comeback against Texas officially locks them in to the field, escaping the fragile 10 line
Wyoming and Oklahoma bought themselves some much needed security with big time wins last night to get out of the Last 4 In group
Michigan now sits and waits to hear its fate after a loss to Indiana. The Wolverines are one of the Last 4 Byes, which is a precarious spot to be in with 72 hours to go
Notre Dame and Marquette suffer upsets and drop to the Last 4 In. Things are very anxious in South Bend and Milwaukee
Idle Wake Forest continues to slide and is now just the second to last team in my projection. They are at major risk of being passed by a bubble team or getting their bid stolen
Indiana, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M earned major wins yesterday, but due to wins by Creighton, Oklahoma and Wyoming, they don’t quite enter the field. The gap has narrowed considerably however
